English language school for children 4-12 years old from Europe
Paddington Academy
By supporting children in their desire to learn new things, we give them freedom, and by teaching them the English language, we give them the freedom of self-expression.
About the school
Our mission is not just to help children master the English language, but also to prepare them for exciting learning experiences in international schools that follow the British education system!

We teach them to understand and analyze information, discuss it, and express their opinions articulately—because it's not just important what you say, but how you say it!

We open the doors for our students to the world of different cultures, introducing them to geography, history, and, of course, making lessons vibrant and memorable through creativity, music, and art. After all, who said learning a language is boring? In our classes, every lesson is a little journey!

All activities are conducted according to CEFR standards—the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. We believe that a solid foundation is the key to a successful future! So get ready; ahead of us lie many exciting discoveries and bright experiences!
What We Teach
    1. General English (for those starting from scratch or with a basic knowledge).
    2. English for Speakers (for children who already speak English and those who plan to or are already attending English schools).
  • Our teachers speak English, Russian, and Ukrainian. We teach English using a comprehensive approach recognized by the British education system. To ensure that students can understand spoken English from the very first lesson, we employ methodologies such as TPR (Total Physical Response) and the Communicative Approach.
  • Communication with the teacher is always encouraged. Students can ask questions about assignments or request feedback at any time.
  • By adopting a personalized approach for each child, we can effectively assess their abilities, recommend speech therapy sessions if necessary, and focus on what interests the student.
  • With us, you can sign up for:
    • Individual lessons
    • Group lessons
    • Speaking Club for children
    • Individual lessons for parents!
Speaking club for our students
In the hands of professionals. Our courses:
General English: grammar, reading, speaking, writing. Suitable for those studying from scratch and/or as an additional language in school.
Phonics, Reading, Writing: learning to read and write using the British Phonics program. Children read books, maintain reading diaries, and start writing as early as 4 years old.
Maths - a course with a lecturer from Britain, who will help your child master mathematics from counting to logarithms (Year 7) on an interactive gaming platform.
SPaG - Spelling, Punctuation, and Grammar. A course for children attending international English schools. We teach parts of speech, where to place commas, and grammar rules.
We teach each child not by a single specific methodology, but by different approaches that suit your child best! For younger children, we use the language immersion method (subject - gesture - name), while for older students, we focus on the structure of the language.
Each child has their own personal learning program. However, it is crafted by our educational specialists and is based on key curricula certified by Cambridge and Oxford. We teach children from beginner level to C1. If desired, children can take an exam.
  • Our courses are based on modern child psychology. Here’s what is important to us:
  • We develop critical thinking.
  • We listen to the child and treat them as an individual.
  • Punishments, reproaches, and name-calling are prohibited in our school.
  • No teacher pursues their dreams at the expense of their student.
  • If we notice any "red flags" in behavior, you will be informed as soon as possible (atypical behavior, etc.).
  • If we determine that your child is "not yet ready/online learning is unsuitable/a speech therapist is needed," we will notify you immediately. It’s better for you to come later when you’re ready than to discourage your child's desire to learn.
Motivation system and play days
In our school, we have a motivation system where each student collects virtual stickers to earn rewards.

Most often, the reward is a game day. This is a lesson where the teacher and student play your child's favorite games together (Roblox, Minecraft, Brawl Stars, and more).

The lesson is conducted entirely in English and addresses the following objectives:
- Your child finds it engaging and unique that the teacher is also “in the loop.”
- Your child understands that they need to try in lessons to earn a prize.
- Your child sees a goal, and learning doesn’t turn into endless aimless classes.

If your child does not play games yet or if you are strongly against game day, it can be replaced with a present day, when the child receives a small gift. In this case, you will need to arrange with the teacher when to prepare it. The gift should be small and inexpensive, but pleasant. Game day and present day can be combined.

If you have objections to a specific game, please let us know.
About the school founder
Karina Mukhametianova
Founder and school director
My name is Karina, and I am a certified English language teacher! Welcome to Paddington Academy, a place where language learning becomes an exciting adventure! My professional journey began 9 years ago when I traveled to China with my future husband. There, we not only studied the language but also encountered real adventures—from engaging with the local culture to searching for the perfect tea!

China became a true forge of experience for me. At times, tears and challenges were part of everyday life, but it was during these moments that I discovered my true passion—working with children. I realized that learning could be transformed into an enjoyable journey filled with joy and laughter.

After four years full of vibrant emotions and, of course, crazy stories (try explaining "turtle" in Chinese!), we decided to move to Europe. We got a dog, packed our bags, and hopefully set off for charming Czechia. Here, I opened an online school, and the number of my happy students began to grow like mushrooms after the rain!

Understanding that each student needs the attention of a true professional, I decided to gather a team of like-minded individuals. Now we have not just a team, but a real educational family, where we work together to help every student succeed. So join us—let's learn English with smiles and enjoyment!

What you get
  • Feedback from the school and teacher 24/7, progress tracking, videos from lessons, and certificates.
  • A personalized approach to your child! We will entertain, comfort, soothe, and set them up for learning. We care for the children to ensure they have only positive experiences from learning English!
  • An online platform for interactive homework. The choice remains with parents, but for students aged 7 and older, we recommend regularly completing homework assignments. For children under 7, activities such as songs, cartoons, games, short dialogues, or creative exercises are suitable for practice. We work with materials in an online format, and no additional purchases are required. However, if you would like your child to write more by hand, we can send homework for printing or request that you purchase a textbook.

Stories of our students
  • Sasha and Dasha come from a Russian-speaking family and were preparing to enroll in an international school, but they lacked the necessary foundation. At the ages of 5 and 4, they began studying with a teacher at Paddington Academy. Despite the limited time, these little students made excellent progress: Sasha is now in the second grade of an international school, while Dasha attends the first grade of an English-language school. Their parents note the children's great interest in lessons and their ability to speak freely. The kids eagerly look forward to each lesson.
Sasha and Dasha, aged 8 and 7, Vienna.
They entered an English school with zero language proficiency.
  • His parents chose to enroll him in our online language school to prepare him. He started studying at the age of 5, and after two years of intensive lessons, he easily passed the entrance test to enroll in a French school. He finds communication in English with teachers and classmates very easy, which allows him to learn a second foreign language—French. Additionally, the lessons at Paddington Academy have helped him develop a love for reading.
    Toly, 7 years old, Prague.
Toly did not speak English, and he was preparing to enroll in an international school.
  • Zhenya lacked the school knowledge to maintain a simple conversation and understand spoken language; however, he had a great interest in learning. Our course helped Zhenya come out of his shell and start speaking English almost continuously, especially without hesitation or spending time searching for the right words.
    Zhenya, 9 years old, Kharkiv.
The school has a low level of English language.
  • Mira wanted to communicate with new friends, study at school, and watch cartoons in English. She studied the language online, which allowed her to quickly make friends and feel confident as an English speaker. Now she is learning Dutch and has no trouble communicating with teachers and classmates.
    Mira, 7 years old, Netherlands.
She moved with her parents to an English-speaking country.
  • In kindergarten, Honza had English lessons from the age of four, but he found them boring. After he started studying in the online school, his progress was recognized by his school teacher, and his parents are endlessly happy that their son has overcome his language barrier.
Honza, bilingual, 6 years old, Prague.
There was no progress in learning English in kindergarten.
  • At Artem's school, he was scolded for making mistakes during lessons, which led to a loss of interest. At Paddington Academy, he found a teacher he looks forward to meeting. Now, lessons are enjoyable for him, and the results are impressive for both him and his parents.
    Artem, 13 years old, Prague.
He really dislikes English lessons at school and does not enjoy studying with a tutor.
